Got call from Payton that appeared as 540-904-4838 but actually was from 540-751-3319 when I used info playback on my answering service. Not scammed as I did not respond but clearly a phishing type number. I had listed a vehicle on Kijiji (Canada Craigslist) which triggered the call. Beware.
I got this: "Hi my name is Peyton and my phone number is 888-941-6615. I'm calling about your vehicle. If it is still for sale we still are showing some demand for it it's going to cost you around 200 bucks for us to get it sold for you good luck again the number here is 888-941-6515"
Apparently someone put my number on an ad for a Ford F-150, I'm not selling anything.
When they call, it hangs up just after the first ring, so I don't get to speak to them.
It was a guy trying to sell my car for me. Mentioned that it would cost me $200.00. Either a scam or someone fishing for work. Called again even after the listing had been taken down for over 2 weeks.
Spam! Got my number from Craig's list. Said he could sell my vehicle for me for a fee of $200! Has called numerous times and left message for me to call back. My add stated "No solicitation calls!" Said his name is Peyton, his number shows up as being from Virginia on voice mail but as unknown on caller ID. I did not answer or return his call. My vehicle sold third day and ad was removed immediately. So why is he still calling?
