Laws are meant to control criminals, not the innocent. All telecoms have the ability to track their traffic and a reporting system combined with automated monitoring of activity can allow for numbers to be disconnected automatically for suspicious and/or illegal purposes.
Although my phone is on the Do Not Call list; 541-246-9013 has called me about every three days or so for about 3 months now. I have a pay-as-u go old flip cell without blocking capability & my carrier wants to charge me to block the call. I don't bother answering any longer but they stay on the line just long enough to trigger my answering system. There is never a message but it costs me $.10 each time to go in & delete the blank message. I have reported number & circumstances to the FCC @ the Do Not Call violation website but FCC has never responded back to me. I would so like to call this idiot out & shove a phone up where his son does not shine.
Same. My friend who has better hearing than I do heard some sort of screaming sound at the end of the voicemail. I trust her hearing, and I think that by having this guy calling me, I'm endangering my friends. I've tried blocking this number, but my phone is still new to me and I'm still figuring out new stuff about it.
