I got a call from this number today stating that my student loan was in default. I checked with my bank and my payment had been automatically debited to US Dept of Ed as it always is. I also am not going to call anyone back who doesn't not share the business they are affiliated with. Be careful with these calls folks! I've started screening calls.
Just got a message from this lady who sounds like all the descriptions below. She was threatening that if I did not bring my student loan current any tax refund would be confiscated. I looked the number up here because it sounded suspicious. Not to mention that all my student loans are paid on time and are current. Beware of the scammers out there........
I just received a voicemail from a lady named "Terry" as well. She stated that she a loan officer and that my account is deliquent. To avoid further actions, I am to call her immediately. This lady sounded terrible! So I called her back and told her that I had a missed call from this number. She stated if I wanted student loan forgiveness that was just signed by President Obama. I told her that I was ok and she immediately ended the call. Watch out people! I'm going to make a complaint with the FBI. This woman needs to be arrested.
I also got a very angry voicemail from an angry woman named Terry Weston, saying my account is delinquent and to call her back today to avoid any further action. She was very new jersey-ish and rude sounding.... Honestly, she sounded like the devil. My loans are all paid on time so i know she has to be full of it. Do not fall for this. *****SCAM*****
