They somehow got a hold of my daughter's checking and savings account and drained it of $4200.00. Went to the bank and was told about some hearing that was to have happened and they garnished her accounts. She never received any type of letter or phone call about a court hearing. She owes no bad debt to anyone. Guess what these idiots have never dealt with a very angry mother. No one will do this to my daughter and get away with it. I believe I am going to Scranton and I won't leave without her money.
Talking to a representative of Commonwealth Finacial Systems (aka Northeast Credit and Collections) will resolve nothing. They will continue to call and harass, regardless. The only way to make them stop is by filing a complaint with your the PA attorney general's office (AGO), and also the state AGO where you reside. If this doesn't work, file a suit in a small claims court or a private suit. It is our moral obligation to file suit against agencies that regularly engage in unfair debt collection practices. By not filing suit, we are encouraging them to break the law.
