Received multiple calls from this number. Decided to answer it today and it is a company called RPM Collections. The number shows up as a Virginia number but the lady says they are in Washington. Apparently I have/had a old Nextel account that is in collections from 2005 for $73. I told them I was on deployment at that time and swore I resolved it in Feb.2006 and to have Sprint/Nextel call me.
I would certainly expect a phone call if I didn't pay a bill however these people started calling me barely two weeks after I moved to the US from the UK, asking for me by name, claiming I owed money on a delinquent account from 2 years prior, before I had even set foot in the county. Tell me how that is possible when I wouldn't even have a social security number for six more months and couldn't open any lines of credit or accounts until I had one? If this doesn't stink of fraud I don't know what does.
