Received multiple calls from this number. Decided to answer it today and it is a company called RPM Collections. The number shows up as a Virginia number but the lady says they are in Washington. Apparently I have/had a old Nextel account that is in collections from 2005 for $73. I told them I was on deployment at that time and swore I resolved it in Feb.2006 and to have Sprint/Nextel call me.
phone all the time, asking me if I'm the spouse of a certain person (I can't even understand the name) , sometimes say they're debt collectors, and generally don't like to identify themselves. I owe nothing and have a go-phone.
My debts are over 7 years old and should have been purged from the reporting system. I check my credit reports and yet a number are active in collections.....these debt collectors buy and sell your debt in order to keep it fresh in the system.
Do not give them any information! Tell them to mail you (as long as they don't have your current address). Do not admit to anything or give out any information or even say yes to anything about your past or current addresses or debts.
