Received multiple calls from this number. Decided to answer it today and it is a company called RPM Collections. The number shows up as a Virginia number but the lady says they are in Washington. Apparently I have/had a old Nextel account that is in collections from 2005 for $73. I told them I was on deployment at that time and swore I resolved it in Feb.2006 and to have Sprint/Nextel call me.
Looked up the number for "RPM" who they claim to call for and they aren't even calling from the same state that RPM is located in. Called the number I found online for RPM and they said they haven't been contacting me as they don't have any account with my name on it. Scam is all I can think.
Number 571-261-0021 called just now asking for my name. I asked who was calling and i was asked again my name. I again asked who was calling and it was said so fast i had to ask again. Said his name was alan from rpm and was looking for me. I said i was not the person he was looking for and was told that i was but he couldnt give me any information till i gave him all of mine. Nope this happened to me with another company 2 years ago. Didnt give him anything and hung up
Young lady calling from RPM. Never heard of RPM. Wanted me to verify address and SS#. Not going to happen without some explanation. Plus if you (company) buy someone's debt...Oh well, none of my business.
Every day there several different scam using several different numbers. I see these posting when i look up the number but now one has a clue of who and where we need to go to get them stop and reported. I want to know how to report the scam and get them stop. Can anyone help with that
