caller from NY # 585-636-0010 TOTAL fishing attempt- upon answering the number it "rung back" to a guy that asked about an application to return to school and when i graduated high school- i said I'm not answering questions until I know who I'm talking... to which the guy just hung up
Got a call at 8am this morning from 103585989 on my cell, which listed the location as "unknown" on my phone. Odd thing is, that phone number seems a digit short. Guy on the other end, with a strong Indian accent, knew my name and asked me to confirm my home address. Ask who he was and why he was calling. Named some insurance related company I had never heard of. Finally got out of him it was car insurance related. Kept trying to get me to confirm my address, which I wouldn't do. Started telling me about all the money I could save. I finally said I wasn't interested and hung up. Even as I was reaching for the end button, I could hear him saying "no, but sir..."
Normally I get one of these calls every couple months and normally they are completely automated. But at 3:35 today, I got a second one. This one was from 585-636-0010, which it said was from New York. I picked it up and the phone rang as though I was the one making the call. Another guy with an Indian accent answered and identified himself as "Sam."
Sam said that his records showed I had a student loan. I said that I do not and started saying that this was the second call I had received like this today, but he hung up on me before I got a chance. Then 25 minutes later, the same number called again, but I missed it.
I really regret missing that second call. I was going to have so much fun messing with Sam. I even tried calling it back, but it said it was disconnected.
Justin called at 2 pm to "follow up on the education application I filled out online". He refused to answer my questions until I answered his. He asked if I was a US citizen and got upset when I refused to answer. He would not tell me how or where he got my number and hung up on me.
