caller from NY # 585-636-0010 TOTAL fishing attempt- upon answering the number it "rung back" to a guy that asked about an application to return to school and when i graduated high school- i said I'm not answering questions until I know who I'm talking... to which the guy just hung up
Got a call from this number this am. I never answer numbers i dont know.
Tried calling back on magic jack # and says disconneced #
2 min later the # called my majic jack line back
one thing i might mention is that if you are ignoring these calls (ie the guy who says he has 8 missed calls from them), you should pick it up. they won't bite... just tell them you don't have a studen loan and they will stop calling you.
called tonight . answered then it rang them back and someone picked up called my first wanted o know if i was returning to school said no they hung up venezuela 6:53
I received a phone call today from this number -- rang back and then the guy said he was from Department of Education loans. Then he said he was calling about my student loans -- do I have any? I said that if he was from the DOE then he would know right? Then he asked for the amount. When I said I didn't feel comfortable sharing that information when I didnt know who he was or what he was selling me - he hung up.
The really irritating thing is that I have received 7 calls from different numbers today - starting at 605am. The one other time I caught it the same thing happened except I was angry when I answered so I just started telling the guy (with an oddly similar accent) that I wanted to be removed from the list. ARRRGH.
