Rec'd call at 1:18 pm; caller id said XARELTO CLAIMS. Didn't answer, probably a robocaller since it didn't wait for the answering machine. Rang 4 times and hung up. I do live in Michigan.
I don't know the age group of others getting these calls (and am not phishing for the answer lol), but I swear I started getting these scammer & unwanted telemarketing calls about the same time that I registered for AARP. It may just be coincidence, but I never got calls with callerids claiming to be from lifeline or drug companies or whatever until after that. Then again, I registered for a new insurance company and social security around the same time, so could be any, all or none of them.
I have had the same unlisted number for over 20 years, that used to help, but with robo-dialers now, it doesn't mean anything. I have considered spoofing their number and calling them back, in the hope that they add their own numbers to their database. Would never know if it worked, but would make me giggle at the thought anyway.
I agree with the AARP and add Good Sam to that list as both admit to selling contact info to parties they think I wound be interested in! Flat told them that is the reason I am cancelling them.
