I also reported the call to the bank that issued that card. Security now has the phone number and the details of the call, hopefully whoever it is will be stopped from scamming others going forward
I got a call from 601-501-4105 a Rep came on the line. His name is Jon Stein with Consumer Advantage. He stated he was calling from VISA to provide me a free $200 gift call because I'm a preferred card holder. Problem is...I don't have any VISA CARDS. He asked for the last 4-digits of my card and the card number on the back. I informed him that he has the wrong person and to take my name off their marketing list.
I've received several calls from this number. Once it was to confirm my first name. After that they hung up immediately. This has happened several times in the past week, once even at 5 in the morning.
