it's a spoofed number. they are getting so lazy that they have used numbers with "555" which we all know is what is used in the movies and tv and thus fake.
I received the call and did not answer. Because I am from Mississippi and have many relatives and friends there, I started to call back but stopped the call after one ring and checked here. I also remember that the Better Business Bureau recommended not answering calls from numbers that you do not know and letting the call go to your message recording service. Of course, you should have your message recording service turned on and not let it get so full that it cannot accept calls. Then you can add legitimate numbers to your cell phone's phone book.
Claimed they were in "Marichusetts" in Massachusetts. Claimed I had credit cards with over $4,000 in debt. I asked them how they knew this. Then he told me they didn't, it was a random call.
This number called me 5, (five) times in a row. I rejected the call 4, (four) times and on the 5th call when I answered there was no reply. My phone is for me. For me to call & receive calls from my friends & family. YOU GOT BUSINESS FOR ME THAT I DIDN'T INITIATE, PUT IT IN THE US MAIL!!!
