Caller (either India or Pakistan) excited about my 'Windows' computer being hacked into now and to go to their website now to correct the problem! Bogus! Reverse phone search shows either 'Corland, NY' or 'Selena, TX' and hung up immediately when I stated that I don't have a 'Windows' computer.
Apparently my CID did not register the phone number but my voicemail did. Msg left regarding my computer being hacked, etc! Just another attempt to garner personal info. SCAM Erased voicemail and block.
These dipspits left the same message in our voicemail. No problem for us because we know this is crap-ery. However, there are extremely gullible folks out there, my sister-in-law to name one. She's fallen prey to this stuff *twice* (she's been warned) and both computers were rendered unusable. The police checked out the latest pc disaster and noting could be recovered or done.
First time I didnt answer - the reason I looked it up was because next I got a call supposedly from MALAYSIA!! Which was the same number without +1... I blocked that call real fast. How did that happen that the caller ID didn't know the difference between Cortland, NY or Malaysia ???
