Caller (either India or Pakistan) excited about my 'Windows' computer being hacked into now and to go to their website now to correct the problem! Bogus! Reverse phone search shows either 'Corland, NY' or 'Selena, TX' and hung up immediately when I stated that I don't have a 'Windows' computer.
Total scam. The scammers cannot even speak english properly. Listen to the message closely...Definite tip off to scam. Do not be a victim...Do not call back.
What a scam, robot call that stated my computer was hacked while it was on, haven't turned on in 3 days. My husband would fix it if the information had been lost. Never give out any info over the phone, better yet never answer unless you know them.
The message was recorded on my answering machine. They have a new twist now: at the end of the call they said, "if we called you in error please disregard this message." Must be some blurb to satisfy some legal requirement.
