my wife received a call from this # and was told the IRS was going to start legal action against us,we have also been getting calls about windows for our PC I`m not sure if it`s the same number but it could be ,this is a scam because the IRS will not contact you by phone they will send you correspondence thru the mail,this call came from Big Flats NY and was automated
This number is being used by scammers who call people who have lost dogs. They offer to search for your dog for a price and promise results or your money back. They do not have people who search for dogs.
I got a call this morning - did not answer - I live in Canada - we receive numerous calls from scammers re virus on internet etc. so I do not answer very often if I don't know the number or area code
Thanks for doing the research. Got the same call today. Kept asking him questions that were apparently not on his script until he got so frustrated he finally hung up.
I received a call from this number last week. A man with an Indian accent asked for me by name. He said he was calling from a Windows help line and that they could see that I had been having trouble with my computer for the last couple of weeks. He stated that he could help me with these supposed problems, and that was the reason he was calling. I knew immediately that this was some kind of scam so I told him that I did not believe him and I hung up. So far they have not called back.
This loser called late last nite - saying he was from Windows and said I had 16 attempts of hacking on my computer and wanted me to follow his instructions to log on and "fix" or my computer would be disabled within 30 minutes. Told him I was no where near going to "fix" and hung up. Then he called back on my other line - told this **ckwit I'd call him back -but needed a number and a name. Goes by the name of Jix - has East Indian accent and was calling from a noisy call center - most likely located in the bowels of a sewer. PLEASE track these brain donors down and "fix" them.
