my wife received a call from this # and was told the IRS was going to start legal action against us,we have also been getting calls about windows for our PC I`m not sure if it`s the same number but it could be ,this is a scam because the IRS will not contact you by phone they will send you correspondence thru the mail,this call came from Big Flats NY and was automated
Hi, I got a call from 607-562-8977....it took a few seconds for the person to pick up (He had my name) say he was calling on behalf of Hydro and that they were going to augment us 30%. I told him if Hydro was going to give and raise they had better send a WRITTEN notice or they would be in BIG trouble. I said that you very much for the tip and hung up.
What a joke, first of all Hydro here is a gouvernement run business and there are rules and regulations they have to follow.... It is regulated to the teeth! I hate these kind of calls.
Well, this is the FIRST time I received this call from this number - a point to be made here - we refuse to answer the phone if no name is given. Then - the same crooks call from different numbers - oh yes, they have a list. The last time I did pick up the phone - heard gibberish in the back ground and told them to never call my number again - didn't even give them a chance. I only answered because it would have continued all weekend with completely different numbers!!! I might add that I picked it up and yelled at them after the fourth time - it was really starting to annoy us! Is there not something that can be done to put these people out of business?
