my wife received a call from this # and was told the IRS was going to start legal action against us,we have also been getting calls about windows for our PC I`m not sure if it`s the same number but it could be ,this is a scam because the IRS will not contact you by phone they will send you correspondence thru the mail,this call came from Big Flats NY and was automated
For the second time in 2 weeks this numbskull called me with his virus-laden computer nonsense. I told him in not so many words to NEVER call again, but he kept right on talking, and asking me if I was 'mad'. Gee.... what would give him THAT idea? We went around in circles and he wasn't paying any attention to what I was saying, so I got my trusty alert whistle out of the drawer and gave him a few blasts. He stayed pretty calm and when I told him I was tracking his calls (from 2 different numbers), would call the 'authorities' ( :P ) if he called again, and told him I was hanging up. He said he was going to call me back. He did and we had another go-round and I blasted my whistle into the phone. I hung up, and lo and behold, he called back again. I picked up the phone but didn't say anything while he repeated 'hello' several times, then called me a "M-F".... and I gave him some good blasts from the whistle and he hung up. So far no call back, but I'm sure he'll turn up again. My whistle is ready :)
Received a call today (12/19/2014) from this number 607-562-8977 with a message that the IRS had been trying to reach me and that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and to call 202-580-8423 for more information. Funny.. because I don't have any unpaid taxes.
I got a call just now from that number, I didn't pick it up because I didn't know it, they left a message and it was an automated call (sounded like a robot) and it said they were from the IRS and were going to file charges against me if I didn't contact them and they left a number for me to call. I didn't make note of that other then it was a 206 number for me to call back?
This is the third call I've had today from what seems to be random numbers informing me that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me, that they've been trying to reach me forever, and this is my final notice. They also leave a phone number that seems random each time telling me to call them back at 202-239-1132 [in this instance] for more information about the case against me. Each time it has been a female "robo" voice on the other end with no way to opt out, continue onto someone else, etc. The first two times it was the same voice with the same message except a different number to call back. This time the voice and the number were both different. They never call me or anyone else for that matter by name on the message. The one constant is that the area code of the number they want you to call back is [202] which is DC's area code. That number also has numerous complaints on here.
Not long ago, I was getting calls because there were supposedly problems with my computer. It was a thick accented guy [India] perhaps. After doing a bit of research on these boards I'm thinking maybe they just changed tactics. Anyway, now I'm REALLY annoyed. Funny how we can find obscure terrorists all the way around the globe with drones but these VERMON seem to enjoy comfort and safety because I assume in most cases if our men and woman in blue found them, the countries in which they reside wouldn't charge and/or extradite them so I can see why it is usually a waste of taxpayer dollars to track them unless there is a massive financial loss and the possibility to recover some if not all of the funds or a good chance at prosecution at the least.
