Living in the suburbs of Paris, today on the 20th of Fev. I received in the morning at 9 42 a call from this number. She just asked me if was speaking english, I said yes, but as she said she was Marina with a russian-sounding name, I asked her twice whether she was speaking russian, because I'm bilingual translator, then she hung up.
Came up as Blue Dolphin Research on my caller ID. Left no message. I chk'd my blocked call list and this number was already on it!? I'm also on the DNC list. Seems certain types of calls evade the "lists". Guess I'll just ignore it. On another note, as a previous poster said, there are some things you can do/try. I previously was getting tel/mark calls on behalf of ASPCA. They were really aggressive. I sent a scathing email to ASPCA. They were advised my friends and I would no longer support ASPCA because of this. 3 days later they replied, apologized and removed my number from their tel/marks. 4 months later, still no calls from them. My fingers are crossed.
Answered this call. The caller with a heavy southeast Asian accent told me he was from the "Technical Support" for Windows. I recognized this as a typical scam and immediately hung up.
First a guy with an east Indian accent called and said he was 'Steven' . I asked him what he was selling, and he said nothing, that he was calling from Microsoft. I told him I didn't believe him, thanked him and hung up. Ten minutes later, a guy with an American accent 'Eric' called. I realized it was the same number and hung up.
