My call on 4/30/15 was a pre recorded female voice saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. It gave another phone number to call, I didn't get a pen in time. I plan on reporting this to the IRS. My caller ID only said New York.
I received a call from this number. A man with a strong Pakistani/Indian accent. He said his name was "John Smith", and he claimed to be a debt collector, trying to get me to send him money for a payday loan that he said I defaulted on. When I told him that I didn't believe him, he responded with a string of obscene remarks. I hung up on him. He called me back, and this time I didn't answer. He left a message saying how he was going to F**k my wife in the [***], while I F**ked him. I have called the FBI, and the FTC.
Got a call from this number, Pakistan/Indian, said he was from Microsoft and wanted us to do tests on computer. Went along with him and said we were having problems getting computer to do what he wanted and said we would get a technician in to check it out, he keeped talking so hung up on him. We live in New Zealand.
Got a call, fellow with Indian accent- said he was from Windows Tech Services. I don't even use Windows on my MAC.
They also called me earlier from 1-213-333-3206 - same
story. Those are scammers trying to install viruses on computers. Hang up fast, don't even listen to them for too long.
I'm on the "do not call" list but that doesn't stop them.
