Started getting these calls recently. Usually I don't answer calls I don't recognize. They asked for someone with same last name as mine but first name was not. I told them no one by that name lives here. They read my number to me and asked if it was my number. I confirmed it was and they said,"OK, we will remove your number from our list. I am disabled and owe no one money. Even if I did, judges don't garnish Social Security Disability Checks.
Called our business and stated his name and that he was with CCS Collections. Had the business name correct and said we had been turned in to them for a subrogation claim and proceeded to grill me for information. I refused to give him my name until he told me which company had supposedly turned us in for non-payment. He refused to tell me anything further until I gave my name. Told him I did not trust, nor believe that he was calling for a legitimate matter. I then called our insurance carrier, because I knew we did have an auto claim from last fall and I wanted to make sure this was not related. Our carrier told me this was most likely a SCAM and that I did the right thing by refusing to give out any info. Never have we received one letter, or any thing in writing from CCS collections. By law, they need to provide a written notice. Unless I get documentation from these people, I will not answer any more calls from this number,
They said we were involved in an accident in a State we were not in and the date the accident occurred we were on vacation away from home. They refused to give me any info regarding the accident but that I should sent them $2500 for damages to the other vehicle immediately or they would take away my husbands license and take this to court. I contacted the Police and they told me others received this call and its a scam.

They continue to call our business periodically. We no longer answer when we see this number. They have the option to leave a message on VM, but they never do. I have yet to see ANY written documentation, so that confirms my belief that this "company" has no legitimate reason to call us.
