For at least two weeks I have been receiving calls from 620-662-8870. The caller has left no number. Google brings the number up as belonging to a company called Portfolio Recovery Associates. Aha! I have also been receiving calls from that company from another number: 731-215-8010. The caller from this number has left a message identifying themselves as Portfolio Recovery Associates attempting to collect a debt. I called the second number and the woman who took my call would not tell me what the debt was until I gave her the last four digits of my social security number, which I refused to do. I asked her why I was getting calls from two different numbers in two different states and why I had received no paperwork in the mail. She would not answer any questions without the last four digits of my social security number. I told her that the company could send me some proper paperwork and I would attend to it accordingly. I also told her that both numbers come up all over the internet as a scam. I blocked both phone numbers.
I've been recieving calls from this number and also 205-423-4020 for several weeks now. They ask for someone not associated with this number, I tell them that and to stop calling but they keep calling back. So I stopped picking up the phone and check caller ID when I see their number. Sooner or later they have to stop. If they don't, I will be filing a complaint for harrassment. Suggest everyone else do the same to these scumbags.
Ive been getting random calls from this and other numbers this week...Kansas, Alabama,Tennessee.. I don't know anyone in any of these states. They don't leave voice mails and its seriously annoying.
@shelby- same here. Ive gotten calls from 620-662-8870, 205-423-4020, & 731-984-7690 ..they average about 2 calls a day each time from a new number. Ive started answering and hanging up. Harassment suit is coming.
