I have received calls from Portfolio late in the evening by persons speaking a foreign language. When I asked them to speak the Queens English they have laughed and keep right on going. I no longer answer any unauthorized familiar numbers. If it is important the caller will leave me a voice mail.
The people at Portfolio Recovery are genuine bottom feeders of debt collection industry. They buy old statute expired debt and through harassment tactics try to collect 10 to 30 cents on the dollar. Of course the minute anything is collected, the statute date resets to day 1 and their other outfits and ambulance chasers come after you. If you have noticed their letter of settlement is only for the debt with them, not original debtor or the next place they sell it to. The only way to fight these guys is to get with your state authorities. These guys know all the Federal loopholes.
Just to let u know theydont care so sue them if they was calling me i wpuld look up WHO the owner or owners was on the business name and maybe start calling them at 9 or 10 pm and start as early as5am ask for them personally tell them they owe me for all the calls i get from them
