These people called me and said I have an out standing loan from March of this year. They threaten me and told me the police were coming to my house to arrest me if I did not pay this loan.
I ask for documentation to back up his claim but then he refused. Like he did not have to give it. I ask for his fax number and he gave me an in correct one. Then he would not answer the phone when I tried to call him back after I went to my bank for documentation to prove to this company I do not have a loan. These people must be scammers so be very careful if anybody gets a call from them. They talked with a middle eastern accent.
THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM AND A POPULAR ONE!!!! Do not give these people money or information. Ask for their name, address, law firm name and phone number and report it to the FTC, the Attorney Generals office of Consumer Protection and report to all 3 credit bereaus. It is against US law for you to be arrested for not paying a debt. They hack into systems and get as much information as possible and then call you and use "official sounding" words to scare you into paying money you don't owe. I've been told by 3 seperate fake law firms that if I don't pay them money I will be arrested the next day when the case goes to court. Funny thing, I'm still not in jail and I won't be going. If you're in doubt as to wether it is legitimate or not, ask for a copy to be mailed to your home address or for the phone number of the company they have been hired by. If they refuse one or both, it is complete bull sh*t. DO NOT BE FOOLED, YOU WILL NOT GO TO JAIL AND YOUR CREDIT WILL NOT BE AFFECTED AS LONG AS YOU REPORT TO THE BEREAUS
They have been calling me at work and my personal cell phone also! Threatening me and accusing me of a pay day loan that I never applied for, nor received!
I will also be reporting them to the FTC.
They called me all week. I finally answered and all they did was threatening me. They said I have a case against me for a pay day loan I supposedly never paid back. FALSE ACCUSATIONS!! I've never even taken out a pay day loan in my life!! Then he yelled at me and said "I hope you have a good Lawyer and hung up. I tried calling back but the 626-239-3142 number is fake number. SCUMBAGS!!
I received a call today AT WORK from this number. A gentleman by the Name of Dwayne Jones telling me that they have a legal case file with alligations regarding my Social Security Number. He asked me if I was going to pay this out of court or would I prefer to go to court over this matter. So they sent me a consumer loan agreement via email so I could look it over and agree to pay them (PayDay USA) on such & such a date. I am so "LUCKY" that I did some research on this because as a matter of fact I did take a pay day loan out but not with this company and not for the amount they are asking. It seemed "fishy". I do have the consumer loan agreement that they sent me. They made up some goofy account number. Yes, this is a total scam!! What do you do when the start calling the employer and threaten with law suits?
