I was just called today from these same people. I got a call first on my cell from a "Private Number", when answered, this lady told me that a collection agency had been trying to reach me and this was the final attempt. She gave me the number to PNC Capital Group with an account number. When I called the lady was talking very fast and said I had taken out a loan back in 2008 first, then she said it was taken out back in 1997 and payments had been made until January of 2010. Every time I tried to ask her a question she would cut me off and after trying again with a raised voice she said she would not be yelled at and hung up on me. I called back numerous times and kept getting very little bits of information from her. She said she was going to have papers served on me at my job as well. I NEVER took out a loan in 1997 or in 2008, as a matter of fact I couldn't have taken out a loan for a piece of gum in either year because of student loans. (Which are current by the way, and nothing is showing in the negative on my credit report). I think this is all a scam because she said to me that unless I was willing to set payment arrangements up, there was nothing else she would discuss with me.

That lady informed me that I had taken a loan out back in 2009 and they have attempted to contact me many times to collect on this debt. I NEVER TOOK OUT!!!. She then proceeded to give me this phone number (626) 537-2297 and an account number. She said I needed to call them to try and set up payment arrangements or they would serve me with papers. The very scary thing is that she spouted off my full social security number. I called the local sheriff's office and they said to be very vigilant and If I saw anything to contact an attorney.
