I let it go to voicemail. I listened to the message The lady said I needed to verify more information for my youngest daughter. I called the number back got a busy signal. I then called the marketplace: The lady told me that it showed I submitted the info but there was still some inconsistencies. When I told her about the call she sad that it sounded fishy but with the inconsistencies on my account that she would escalate the situation in order to figure out what was going on just in case it was a real thing and I won't lose my coverage. Some one will call me back within 30 days. lol We will see if I get paperwork in the mail I know it is real.
I've been getting calls from this number repeatedly for last several weeks saying my health insurance premium is going to increase if I don't report updated income info. I've touched base with my health insurer and they don't know why the calls are coming as they have no changes pending. The caller IDs from the Healthcare Marketplace and if you get through on a call back they make enormous efforts to get you to "confirm" your ID by name, address, phone, SSN, etc. When I called the FL Healthcare Marketplace directly (through the number on their website where I'm registered), they couldn't figure out any reason why they'd be calling me. I don't trust 'em at all! It's either an ID phishing scam or the Obamacare marketplace is even more screwed up than other government programs.
Claimed to be from HealthCare.gov and wanted to ask me verifying info otherwise I'd lose coverate. When I asked how I was supposed to know if he was legit, he gave me the website and, supposedly, the 800 number to call that I could also find on the site. It was close, but DID NOT match the really 800 number. He didn't try to pursue confirming my info after I questioned who he was... this seems pretty much a SCAM to me!
Im a licensed insurance agent. If one can get her full name since you have her phone number you can report her to the Dept. of Insurance for mistepresentation and lying. One has to be licensed to be on the Marketplace and to sell insurance. Report her!!!
