I just received a phone call from a Kevin Rawat with an india accent, and he is recruiting for Bank of America on a 3 months temp position. At first he asked me a few question regarding my work history and some other question that was on my resume. He told me that he say my resume on Careerbuilder.com, and if I was interested I could be working next week. But, as everyone wrote, yes he did requested my social and I was a bit surprise. I told him that I am not very comfortable with giving my social over the phone. He told me that he will send me an email, and he did. This is what it looks like:

For this client submission we need your full social # to run your Eligible for hire / rehire with Bank of America, if you have any further question then feel free to call me back.
When you let me know above said information then we are able to submit your resume to our client for reviewing for the below position at the pay rate $18.75/hr without benefits (HIB) on W2.

I believe that we all have our reason the be sceptic regarding giving our social over the phone. So I am not sure if they are a SCAM or not, but we all have a right to be nervious about our social over the phone. I wish there were better legit way to confirm the good from the bad companies.
