Claims to be IRS (Robot like voice) Says lawsuit being filed in county court. Told to return call for assistance in getting matter resolved.
Called at 8:30am and 10:30am on same day - left same message.
Told me his name was William Black and he was with the IRS and I was going to be sent to jail because of fraud then told me that unless I paid him, he could not guarantee my security and he was not sure what would happen to me or my family. I called the actual IRS and they informed me that they don't make phone calls they would send out letters first.
We have received two phone calls. The first one was from Dave Grey with an strong middle eastern accent explaining we need to call this number to avoid any court problems. The second call was a robo call with a similar message, call the phone number back to avoid court. I have filed a complaint with National Do Not Call Registry.
The IRS does not need to sue anyone. They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office. Several of them. Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for. Again delivered by the Post Office. Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own. If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge? They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

Got voicemail from this # at my home at 7:59 am 2/4/16. This is a definite scam. IRS will NEVER call from a cell phone. I had my husband call back from a different phone #. He got a man with an Indian accent and poor English asking for personal information saying we owed $6,000+ for 2009-2014 taxes. We know we don't owe any taxes. Man said paperwork would be sent to court if we didn't give information. My husband laughed at him and told him to send in the paperwork and he hung up.
