Calling on behalf of their "manager Martin", for I believe he was saying Profitable Conference Partners(?). It was hard to tell, it sounded like he had come back from the dentist.
I don't know if I should feel pity for these people or learn to despise them since they are so eager to talk over you, then raise their voices, and finally grow angry with you when they are advised their call cannot be transferred. I'm not certain why they believe we're lying to them when we simply cannot transfer to someone who passed a way years ago. In fact they did not know what the word deceased meant, what the phrase passed away meant, and eventually we had to resort to spelling out the word -d- e- a- d-, and I'm not certain that they got that reference either.
This just happened to me. I always answer "Hello this is Amy" and they replied after a pause "I am looking for Amy Johnson". I said that was wrong and they mentioned they had the wrong number. Fishy!
Got a call from this number right...?? (469)646-4004 ( based in Dallas ) called them back and I got a msge asking me if I wanted for them to put my number on the DO NOT call list so I hanged up. 10 seconds later I got a call from a scammer number (646)568-6434 ( based in New York)....!!! WTF......!!!!!!!!!! :-#
Caller claimed to be from ibm asking about my software business. I do some software work from time to time, so it seemed like it might be legitimate, reading here it is clear that it was spam or phishing.
guy by the name of "ronnie cooper" (so he says - fyi indian accent) was calling from the office of matt dennis from list track, asking for my CIO. i asked what the call is regarding, he said he did not know and that matt asked him to call my CIO. told him my CIO is not familiar with who matt dennis is and will not take the call unless he can tell me the purpose of the call. he was unable to give me any information, and therefore, i asked to remove us from the list. they call so much .. different people calling from the office of ..... "whomever". how annoying! what do they want???????????
