I keep receiving call from 646-583-0889 saying 3 allegations have been made about me and a warrant will be issued for my arrest for a loan that I have not taken out, I have not made a loan or received any money and they calling from new York which is on the other side of the country for me. This is just wrong to do this to people who are law obidying citizens America.
2ND CALL RECEIVED FROM A KEVING WILLIAMS LAW FIRM. MY ARREST WARRENT IS ABOUT TO GO OUT UNLESS I CALL IMMEDIATELY REGARDING COMPLAINTS FILED AGAINTS ME. MY NUMBER IS ALSO REGISTERED WITH THE DO NOT CALL LIST. HOW DO THEY GET ACCESS TO PHONE NUMBERS!!!!
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
stated they were starting arrest warrant procedures. warrant for arrest tomorrow if i dont call back. i call and its about a payday loan they say i didnt pay for. although i did take a payday loan, i paid for it completely and it was withdrawn directly from my bank account. and after i told them to send me the proof of the loan by mail or fax, they refused....
Ignore the calls. Do not return the calls . Do not talk to them. Block their calls. They are Indian scammer/extortionists. They pick on women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the immigrant community. They know your financial information. The calls are not random, if they think you are vulnerable in any way they will continue to bother you. See if you can get your employer to install a call blocking system. This is a common scam.
