Final comment before I leave. Found a Caller ID setting to "hide number in outgoing calls". So I set that - just in case I'm wrong about Caller ID passing through when the call is forwarded.
Either way, when the Police get one of those robo calls with the phone number to call back in the message they should know where to look. The number in the message was the same as the originating robo call.
I guess there is no way to edit our posts.
I'm replying to myself - been here to long. Loosing my marbles perhaps :-)
Just had somebody call me from this number on my cell phone and left a message . Called my work # afterwards and after a moment or so of silence and automated voice said goodbye and hung up .
We received a call from a "Jason" to one of our field offices in Colorado. The caller stated they were going to issue a subpoena for information and we needed to contact them back at the numbers they provided.
Our office manager at the corporate office in Texas called back and got the name of this company repeated a couple of times to finally understand that "Jason" was saying: CRIMINAL AND JUSTICE LEGAL LAW SERVICES out of NY and that they were with the state of NY (yeah right!).
While on the phone, still trying to understand the reason for his call, we googled the name and once we saw these reports the call was hung up on. How do they want us to believe they are a legitimate company, much less with any state agency, when they can't even enunciate properly or give verifiable information.
So annoying that they are such a waste of our time.
Mr. Williams didn't call me on that number, he called me from 347-809-5419. What got me was the accent...what a SCAM...I called and he called me a [***], then I told him I was going to sue him for harassment..
