It's SCAM time again... Here come the SCAMS...
NEVER give out any personal information over the phone.
Creditors that you actually have an account with, will have all the correct information.
Giving out Bank information opens your account to be debited. (Emptied)
This is an International phone number calling... (Do you owe overseas???) lol
Just got a call and says its from New York and since I don't know anyone there I didn't pick up but I came here to see the other posts...... will b blocking this number now
Foreign man telling me he is from the U.S. Treasury and that my name and number have been selected to get $9,000.00 from the government and not have to pay it back. I was afraid to answer anything he was saying given past scams where they are recording whatever I say. Has called three times today. I answered two of them but hung up on him both times after asking me to say okay.
Just had same call as described above to my work phone (which is definitely not connected with me personally).
Just told him send all the info over regular mail and he immediately hung up.
This scam is still alive!
