I'm so mad because I wad prepared with my story about why I really needed their home security. I was going to talk about how I had chopped up my ex boyfriend and hid his body parts in bags of herion or whatever and then start to threaten to cut up their private parts to feed to my dogs... But alas.... They hung up on me.
This # called my work cell phone. I asked if it was an automated call and she said no. Then she said she wants to give me an alarm system and put a free sign up in my yard. That is when I informed her that the # she called is my work cell phone, and I work for A REAL LEGIT security company. That is when the call ended.
These people need to be stopped. Nothing is for "free". Called the number back & it is just a fast busy signal.
Called my cell, didn't leave a message. I called the number back about 2 minutes later and got a recording saying "The number you called is not a working number".
Took a while for them to answer, then I got what I suspected was a robo-call, but pretty sophisticated: "Hi, this is Rachel, how are you doing?" "Fine...." Then she proceeded to give her last name, like it was an afterthought. Nice touch. But I just hung up. Even if she was a real person, I can't be bothered to feel bad about being rude. There's something dehumanizing about being tricked into being nice to artificial intelligence for someone else's financial gain.
