They left a message on my machine that started before the outgoing message ended. They repeated it at least twice since the recorded message had the end of their message followed by the full message again, and their full message did not run as long as my outgoing message as the perky female voice was reading at a mile a minute pace.

I have received the exact same message from 657-220-1612, 657-220-1614, 657-220-1617 (in that order), 510 370-1876, 858-716-6364, 213-503-8127 and 213-257-5233 over the past couple months.
The posts made at the threads for those numbers report a combination of "Free Cruise", "Free Vacation" and "Student Loan Forgiveness" calls. I wonder if these fraud operations are running multiple scams; changing the scam tried based on what region is being called. "Free Cruise" and "Free Vacation" scams for the parts of the country moving into a cold winter and "Student Loan Forgiveness" scams for the regions (like SoCal) where the weather is usually sunny and warm. I am in the SoCal region and all I have received in the past few months has been the "Student Loan Forgiveness" messages. (But then again, they only get to call once or twice before I block the number.)
Just got two calls from this number. I ignored it the first time and then almost immediately they called back so I physically rejected the call. This is the fourth day they have called me.
Caller ID is Anaheim CA, however 657 is a Long Beach area code. Left no message. Shortly afterwards, two consecutive calls came in with no caller ID - "Unavailable" Telemarketers, this practice will never get you any sales, only outrage and contempt.
