Just received recorded message from this number claiming there is a complaint against me and I could speak to them about settling or else they could send papers to my home or work. Have no idea who these clowns are but definitely a scam. Did mention my name but have no idea of who they are. Have never gotten any notice in the mail which is required. So I will ignore this and see about blocking the number.
I keep getting calls from 660-530-0029 . The name on my phone shows V Lesmeister. They say they will come to my place of employment and I have 2 cases against me. My case # is 161909. The calls are coming from Missouri somewhere.
Good, I hope they shut them down. And Wisconsin laws may vary some from the Federal ones. Many states do have stricter DNC rules than the Feds do. At the Federal level this would not be pursued as a DNC violation but under other consumer protection laws, primarily those regulating debt collectors, and yes, the do go after phony collectors via those laws.
