Also, if a HS Senior has shown interest in several schools, those schools WILL call you and they have a legit Caller ID. We have gone thru this all year. Scholarship winners will be notified by mail personally or to the Guidance Counselor at the high school. Like I said before...Scammers!!!
Have a child entering college. Checked, this has nothing to do with where he applied. If it's concerning a loan, we'll stick with the people we're already working with. Can you say: "We'll call YOU." We're not giving info, especially over the phone, to anyone we didn't call first. That's just common sense.
We recieved a call two days in a row asking for my daughter who is a senior in high school. Caller ID identified the caller as "Admission Support". The first time she was in the shower and they said they would call back. Tonight, I apologized and started to explain she was at soccer practice and they hung up without another word. For those out there that say" do not be so rude to these callers" I will say this. I was not rude but they were. I have never filled out any type of internet contest because I know they are an invitation to spam or worse. If you are defending them I have to ask is it because you have a business connection there?
The first time I received a call all I heard were two women talking near a phone, but not actually answering me. The 2nd time it was an electronic male voice, but far enough away from the speaker it sounded like a radio ad.
As the calls started before I went on Drexel's website, I doubt it's them calling. Not to mention Drexel does not have a Misssouri one.
They left a message saying i got a scholarship to some college in illinois. I could not tell what college the lady said. But since i live in tennessee and only applied for one small, local college i doubt the "scholarship" was real.
