Keep callin\, same voice but different numbers, asking for different people, I yelled at them told them not to call anymore and was reporting the numbers to the police. I have my whistle ready at the phone for the next time, they call at all hours, I am disabled and it is painfull for me to move, so I figured I should be able to let out the stress of them making me answer the phone with a nice very loud whistle, I told them to stop calling so as far as Im concerned they are tresspassing each time they call back, also I will be cashing in on their harassment if they dont stop.

They call here frequently for someone who does not live here and someone I do not know.  Each time I explain this to them they promise to delete my # from their data.  Of course they never do.

Yesterday after I explained to the caller that we do not know this person she said that probably the person had our phone# assigned to them at one time.  Hardly..we have had this # for 54 years.

They called again today.   This woman was quite combative and it's clear they do not believe we do not know of this person.

They called my parent's house looking for me, then called my cell. They said they were trying to collect on student loan debt. Made enough sense as my name and info is on my loans, and my father is the co-signer. When I spoke to "Alicia", she was very persistent that I needed to take immediate action on my loans because they were in default. I knew they weren't, I make my payments every month. I pressed her to tell me specifically which loan was in default, and all she could tell me was the loan vendor (easy public info to obtain). I told her that I have five student loans with that vendor, and she still could not tell me which loan was defaulted. Finally, she told me the year that the loan was dispersed (again, easy public info to obtain). I continued to ask for the loan number and specifics. She gave me none. I told her that I needed to speak to my vendor, to which she replied, "Well they'll just send you back to me." I said that's fine, but I'd like to speak to them. She told me that she'd place my account on a low priority until tomorrow at 5pm. I checked my account online, called my vendor - all of my loans are in good standing (as I knew they were). She told me to call back on this number, because it is her direct line.

Tomorrow at 5pm comes around... A real collection agency, even if they place you on a low priority, will still call several times to make sure you follow up. Seeing as how this is clearly a scam, they did not call at all on the day because she could tell that I was not falling for it. I called her "direct line", it rang out, got redirected and rang out again. Finally, a receptionist answered. I asked for Alicia, she sounded unsure that anyone named Alicia even worked there (fake names), then finally I got on the line again with Alicia. I did not verify any information, but she immediately started talking about my debt again (a real agency would never talk about your account until they verify your identity). I told her that I wasn't going to pay her anything and continued to ask which loan specifically she was collecting on. Again, she gave no real information. After a little back and forth (I was just having fun at this point), I finally told her that I would pay because I knew this was a scam. She froze, and there was a pause for about ten seconds. Then she finally said, "hello?" To which I replied, "No I just spoke, now it's your turn." She quickly deflected by saying, "sir, these accounts are carefully audited." And I said, "That's fine, which account specifically are you talking about?" Again, no answer. After a little more back and forth (again, just having fun with her at this point), I hang up.

A real collection agency will give you information about the loan they are collecting on, they will tell you specific amounts, they will send you paperwork and they will be able to answer almost any of your questions. Always check with your loan provider before you pay anything to an unsolicited caller. This was clearly a scam, and I called them out for it. Because of that, they have not called me since. A real collection agency will continue to call nonstop.

Sexy [***] lol
My Android has a block caller feature.   I don't even need to save the #.  The three lines on bottom left are how I get to it on my S4 mini.
