"Luke Lopez" (my mans last nae is Lopez too, so i thought it was a relative by his level of confidence)....i told him he wasnt here n no, i wont give u the #! I see he was bein clever...but also rude, he tells me to give my man a # and when i asked "this one on the caller id", he says no, cause thats my ''job'' #! HAHHAA! good try buddy....

PHOENIX
They call, but they never leave a message. I should pay them back.......but, 2 years ago, I had a balance with University of Phoenix. I never go a bill, I was just set directly into collections. I immediatly paid the balance and moved on. The ACT representative was more than professional. I again owe UoP about $500.00. Unfortunatly, I will be paying them VERY SLOWLY....UoP still listed on my credit report that the debt was a charge off. I will stop sending them $5.00 a month and pay it in full once UoP corrects my credit.

Not lying
In reality, they have committed no crime.  By asking you to leave a message for your neighbor, they have divulged no personal information about your neighbor, nor have they placed any undue hardship on you, other than to ask you to give them a message.  Should the collector give you personal information, or give you the reason for the call other than to mention "personal business," then the collector can be charged with a violation of the FDCPA ("Fair Debt Collection Practices Act").

Statutory?
There is no limitation on the time that student loans can be collected.  This is a FEDERAL mandate, to protect student loan companies and ensure that these lenders will continue to make student loans, knowing that their risk is negligible.  If you signed a promissory note, you cannot have the default removed from your credit.  "Collection Advice," perhaps you should read up on your student loan regulations.

Collections
This number still calls me about my student loans even though they are paid off. It's ridiculous!
