This is a company called Donor Services Group. Orgs hire DSG to make calls for them or solicit donations. Today I got one from this number saying they are with MoveOn.org. Next month it might be the Humane Society or the Police Officer's Fund or whatever. I'm tired of telemarketing calls too, but there's no harm in listening if you want, donating if you want, or politely declining if you want.
I answered. She said she was looking for donations for the Democratic Party. Through in a couple snarky remarks about Republican congress, then asked for $$. I said no thanks but good luck and was hung up on. That told me it was bogus.
I got the same call as he kept calling over and over again until I answered. He then said he was from the Humane Society and I hung up. The Humane Society doesn't make calls like that. Scammer! I then blocked his number.
