I got a call today saying that I owed money and that I would be arrested at my workplace or my home if I did not pay. So he continued to tell me that if I did not have the money within a hour I would be arrested without question. I asked him if he could send me information and he started becoming agitated and told me to shut up and stop asking him question's. Any company or law firm that refuses to give you information is definitely a scam artist. After a few choice words, I told him that he could send the FBI,CIA, and the police department to my address and I would be outside waiting and I hung up the phone. Oh, and he did have a indian accent as well. smh
I received the same message - this happened to me a couple months ago too from another number. Luckily, I researched and found it to be a scam then when they told me what company I owed money too - I contacted the company to confirm my account was paid in full and had them send me a letter to confirm it. They also told me that in this case, if I had owed the money it would have been a civil case not a criminal case. So with that being said, I feel very comfortable that this is just another scam.
