I just received the same message this afternoon! Indian accent, saying I was going to be arrested at my physical address or my place of work and they would "see me into the courthouse". Blocking them from my cell!
I just got the phone call. They had my number, my address and one of my email ID's and they said that I had committed federal EFT Fraud., My heart rate was going through the roof! I was like, WHAT?? He said his name was William Hawkins. THICK THICK Indian accent. Thicker than those of the people I worked with in India that live there! GAH! They said that I had taken money and transfered it into my account. When they tried to retrieve it, they couldn't so are are suing me for a felony. I told him he was SPAM because the email is for SPAM and I am not giving him any money. So then he said he would mail me the subpoena and I will have to deal with the legal consequences. And then he hung up on me! HELLLOOOOO. Jerk.
Getting this guy too. Told him i spoke to a lawyer and he would get nothing from me without a written statement as to what i owed. He said i would be arrested and he would see me at the court house. Told him not to threaten me and he hung up. Of course it freaked me at first. So glad i googled this.
I received the same message about a complaint against me. But they didn't ask for anyone by name. My son and daughter live with me also. So, how am I suppose to know who they are looking for.
