I have been receiving calls once, sometimes twice daily from this number that comes up on my ID as ASPCA. I called this number as I was getting annoyed with the call frequency and they gave me the ASPCA phone number to call to make sure I didn't receive anymore calls. Because ASPCA is a nonprofit organization, they are to call you for donations even if you are on the DO NOT CALL registry, as I am. I am also already a guardian with the ASPCA. I called the number which is 800 628-0028 and spoke with a representative who put my number on their own do not call list. I also let the rep know how sketchy this felt, and that it will probably hurt donations, not help.
Night and day these people call. Occasionally I answer but then nobody responds or a recording says please hold while we transfer you to your party. Then I waited and waited ready to say what the hell!!!???? but nobody came on the line. I support the ASPCA and make automatic monthly donations. I am on the do not call registry too. Don't know how to block the number on a broadband phone connection. I'll look into it.
BIG Red Flag Here > 661-670-2616 said they were calling from New York, this is for sure a BIG SCAM, they said oh you sent us a $1.00 for ASPCA, and we want to thank you. Never sent anything at anytime. I said send me something in the mail, and hung up.
