The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

This number called me claiming to be the IRS.

This happened to me too. But I know the IRS sends mail. This is ridiculous

They're busy little buggers. I just got a call from the same scumbags. Left a message telling me to call back about this file they have on me. It's a scam.

Same message for me also. Didn't hear it being the IRS. Just if I want to hear more about the file they have on me.
