This true, its not a scam as i previously thought. I had ignored this number for a 2 months and finally decided to answer, low behold, it was regarding my husband's Wal-Mart MasterCard. They informed us that our Mastercard had not been paid and it was past due I had explained to the person that it was on automatic withdrawal but I failed to remember that a few months ago my husband lost his debit bank card and our account was being withdrawn from there to make payments instead of our actual account with a routing number so we got that taken care of. The only thing I didn't do over the phone with that particular Representatives is give them my information regarding our new bank account/ debit card I ended up calling the back of the Walmart card and setting it up myself so I know that I'm talking to a actual person from that company.
Unfortunately, many people have received a call from this number and had nothing to do with them but, in my case, this number had been calling me, I had ignored it. I finally answered it and they did say that they were from Synchrony Bank on behalf of Walmart, they said they were calling because my husband's Walmart Mastercard was past due. I told thrm that it was on automatic payment, how could it be past due? I also thought it was a scam. I decided to call the number on the back of my card that I share with my husband, they did verify that it was past due and that they use a third-party system to make the calls on behalf of the bank that issues out it's mastercard's for Walmart. Unfortunately my husband's bank card had been compromised and we forgot to call and have it changed with Synchrony Bank to have it automatically withdrawn, prompting them to call us for past-due payments. Not every story is the same as mine, mine just happened to me true. It's always best to never give your information over the phone when they are requesting it. The best thing to do is call the number on the back of your card and have it verified whether it's a Walmart card or any department store. PS. I also found out that creditors or any one in general can find your info and end up calling asking for you or for other people because they run their info and are able to see who they have been associated with and end up calling anyone within their circle of friends or family, as I have found out. Www.truepeoplesearch.com I found myself here, very scary the info it has for public use.

They would never call to extend tour credit limit they will mail you a letter stating congratulations for being a valued customer with Walmart or any company and they let you know that they have extended your credit limit from x amount of dollars 2 x amount of dollars
I agree GE can be a scam, I have a Walmart Mastercard and this number had been calling me for several weeks maybe 2 months and I didn't realize that the amount was not being taken out automatically for my debit card and when I finally answered the call they said they were from Synchrony Bank calling regarding my MasterCard that it was past due and I said well it's automatic withdrawal that's impossible then I realized my husband's debit card had been compromised and we forgot to change it with Synchrony Bank .
