This true, its not a scam as i previously thought. I had ignored this number for a 2 months and finally decided to answer, low behold, it was regarding my husband's Wal-Mart MasterCard. They informed us that our Mastercard had not been paid and it was past due I had explained to the person that it was on automatic withdrawal but I failed to remember that a few months ago my husband lost his debit bank card and our account was being withdrawn from there to make payments instead of our actual account with a routing number so we got that taken care of. The only thing I didn't do over the phone with that particular Representatives is give them my information regarding our new bank account/ debit card I ended up calling the back of the Walmart card and setting it up myself so I know that I'm talking to a actual person from that company.
That used to be GE Bank. They issue branded credit cards for numerous companies, and they have their own. I doubt they are selling something (definition of a telemarketer). If they are calling everyday, non stop, I would at least answer and find out what they want. At that point, you will know what steps to take. Once you find out, then come back here and we will tell you what you need to know, as any advice right now would be speculation.
I don't know if it's walmart or a scam, what I know is that is annoying AF, it calls me 4 or 5 times a day, and the voice mail is like 2 minutes with nothing, in blank. Already blocked the number but the blank voice mail still gets in. ANNOYING!!!!!!
They call everyday 4-5 times. Day
I have it blocked. They never leave s message.
I have no credit card with Walmart discover. Very annoying. I am tempted to blow a whistle at them
In my case,it was a legitimate call from Synchrony Bank. I didn't answer because I don't answer unknown numbers. So I checked here, saw Synchrony, whom I do have an account with, then checked my statement online only to find that I was late on a payment that I had forgotten to make. I paid it, and the calls stopped.
