This true, its not a scam as i previously thought. I had ignored this number for a 2 months and finally decided to answer, low behold, it was regarding my husband's Wal-Mart MasterCard. They informed us that our Mastercard had not been paid and it was past due I had explained to the person that it was on automatic withdrawal but I failed to remember that a few months ago my husband lost his debit bank card and our account was being withdrawn from there to make payments instead of our actual account with a routing number so we got that taken care of. The only thing I didn't do over the phone with that particular Representatives is give them my information regarding our new bank account/ debit card I ended up calling the back of the Walmart card and setting it up myself so I know that I'm talking to a actual person from that company.
I have talked to a lady from Wall mart and wrote a letter first explaining our problem. I have received 4 calls between11:13 am and 6:05 pm. They NEVER leave a message so I won't answer. I am also on a no call list. What can I do?
678-518-2156 is also connected to 866-314-9507, which is the number they tell you to call.
Well legit or not, I have never had a Wal Mart card nor do I have any other credit cards. I admit I have had this phone number for about a year now, so maybe they are looking for someone who never changed their number with this creditor. As alot of people do not notify businesses when they change phone numbers. All I know is, I don't answer numbers I don't know, they did leave an automated message stating who they were, so I just block the number now. Don't care how many times they call. The following was the message that was left on my phone.

The phone number that showed up as to where the call came from was 678-518-2156...
I get anywhere from 3-6 calls a day from this number. They leave a message about once a week saying they are trying to collect money for a Wal-Mart account for a Pedro Martinez. I definitely am not Pedro Martinez, nor do I have an account at Wal-Mart. I'm guessing this is some type of scam.
