Just received a call from a heavily accented male asking for me by name and saying he wanted to speak about the "lawsuit filed against you by IRS." When I said "Excuse me?" the call was disconnected. There was also another identifying number on the caller id:V3231583600039.
3/20/15 just got a call from Tom White of the I.R.S. from a man who had a heavy india accent. When I asked him questions about what he was asking he got flustered when I said you sound like Said or Ramki he hung up. He proclaim they tried to contact me via certified mail. It is all fraudulent and my first time experience. Thank goodness I have heard about this scam in the past on facebook or the news.

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.
Same as others reported. Indistinguishable complaint about something, followed by a threat of arrest warrant. With all these complaints, can't this loser be arrested for these threats.
Same deal here Call from 703-662-8338, it was a recording stating the IRS had a warrant for my arrest due to tax liens. The voice demanded I call back immediately. Trouble is, I don't have any IRS tax liens, nor do I owe them a penny. This is obviously a scam attempting to scare someone into sending money. I will just ignore it, but you can report the call to the police. In the past, I have called these scammers back and told them I was a "federal agent" (whatever that means) investigating their business, started asking them a bunch of questions... they always hang up and never call back.
Like others, I received message on my answering machine, male, heavily accented, saying I needed to call in re to tax fraud and that there is a warrant for my arrest. Well, he didn't ask for anyone by name so not clear who in the household had supposedly committed the tax fraud.
