Got a call from the "IRS" that I let go to voicemail. A lady with a heavy Indian accent on a terrible line connection said that there was a warrant out for my arrest due to tax fraud and that I was to call as soon as possible. Since I knew that was impossible I googled the number and sure enough it was a scam! I warned my family about this scam if they received similar calls.
Same scam, lady with Indian accent leaving a message about an IRS lawsuit pending, to call back immediately. Have gotten a few other calls on the answering machine, really annoying.
Yes, I can home to this voicemail message "your name & your social security number regarding a tax fraud a lawsuit will be filed against you in the Federal Supreme Court House." "Now please note, on available arrest warranty will be issued on you if we do not hear back from you as soon as possible. Have a good day."
This call sounded threatening. Gee, they are misrepresenting the Government. I wonder if they would like me to turn this over to the police. 703-756-6663
