Yes...Definitely a scam. "non-bailable" offense. I told him that the police are recording and tracing the phone call and that what he was involved in was fraud. At this point the started cursing at me...I hung up. They called three times today. Seems like this one is ramping up.
Bozo called today, from the "Internal Revenue Service", very insistent tha tI not hang up, and MUST enter my social security number. Obviously didn't, couldn't stop laughing at the stupidity of it.
Got a call from "IRS", saying they're filing a legal action law suit against me because of tax fraud. Said I was either having to pay a $90k in fine or five years in prison unless I make a payment of the tax I owe the same day. The person had a heavy foreign accent and said he was an officer working for IRS and gave a badge number and case number to sound official. Those people were truly evil, do not give any of your personal information!! They use another number to call also , the number is 804-916-8700
Got a call from this number a couple days back, told me he's from the IRS and it had to do something with taxes, quite hilarious since my moms a CPA and I know how taxes work, started cursing at me and we got in an argument, then hung up. He called me back today, same number (703-756-6663) left a voicemail to call another number, tried calling his number, but guess I'm blocked, so played his game and called the number he gave me, multiple times without saying anything to harass them, and he called finally called me and I told him that it's cute and how it's a scam and how it must suck having google now a days to look up numbers to see what they are, he cursed at me then hung up.
