I don't know where these scam artists got my number, but they are calling my cell....a lot! They tell me on the recorded message that there have been burglaries in our area and that I am eligible for a "free" system. Check it out. Telemarketers. My numbers, including my cell number are on the "do not call" list at www.donotcall.gov.
If you notice, when you call the number, it is out of service. So not sure if they are using it to dial from a computer or what, but was told to absolutely not to answer. As stated above, when you answer, they have your number locked in to use.
These people would know what a real home alarm was it one hit then between the eyes.. They want to put in a CHEEP GE alarm that I could rip off the wall in 3 secounts. Could not find them listed as a Alabama Alarm Co. There is no such thing as a FREE Alarm. You end up paying 2 to 3 times for what a real alarm is. Plus I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST. Also calling the State Alarm Board.
If you look for a long long ring, this number will definitely satisfy you. If those are trying to annoy people, they indeed achieve it. But on the other hand, if they are smart, they should realize that they waste a lot of time and get nowhere. The longer the ring is, the less people you can call, right? After all, the job is just making calls, fortunately. Who doesn't know how to make a call or two?
Just got a call from this number on MY CELL PHONE! I'm on both the state and federal do not call list. I call the number back and it says it is not in service so the caller ID is spoofed. I bet if our government hadn't broke up the Bell System (the original AT&T with the local Bell companies, Bell Labs, and Western Electric) it would have been next to impossible to send spoofed caller ID signals on the Bell Telephone network. They were very tight with there network - you couldn't even hook up anything that wasn't their equipment to their lines without them hunting you down!
