So what you're saying is that if I tell them I have bad credit or I live in Canada then my ten calls a week will go down? I wonder what's wrong with living in Canada? Dang, maybe I should sell out and move? And get rid of my landline!
Go ahead and press '1'...This time the number was being used by the "credit card services" scum. They cold-called with a recorded message in complete violation of the National Do-Not-Call Registry. I pressed 1 to talk to a human, all set with my CC information, all completely bogus-numbered of course. If they hadn't hung up while I was on hold, I would have S L O W L Y given any (bogus, remember...) info they wanted. When the card came back invalid, I'd read the info again, changing a 3 to an 8, etc., etc.. I like to see how long I can string them along - 1 point for each minute. 5 extra points if I get in a mention of the NDNCR before they hang up. 10 extra points if they swear, which gives me free reign to unload on them (their sister's fornication with goats is usually in there somewhere...). Blocking the number doesn't get to the root of the problem, and isn't NEAR as much fun as punking them. Hey scum, Please call back!
